Chrysler is screening special-edition Jeep Compass and Grand Voyager models at this week’s Paris Motor Show, in addition to the Jeep Patriot Back Country.

The Compass Overland, like the Commander and Grand Cherokee Overland edition models already on sale, is a top-specification model.
Additional communications kit, a high-spec stereo, special styling details and unique embroidered seats are all included. Chrysler is also celebrating 25 years since the launching of its first Voyager MPV with a 25th Anniversary Edition Grand Voyager model.
This comes with special badging, a dark grey interior with black wood trim, satin-finish details and leather upholstery, 17″ alloy wheels, chrome side moldings, and a roof-rack with crossbars.
Chrysler has also declared that its dual-clutch transmission will now be available in Europe in the Avenger and Sebring. It works in combination with the 2.0-litre diesel engine, and offers better fuel economy than a traditional automatic gearbox.

At present the Prius is a single model of Toyota dealership but the company wants to offer a succession of derivatives under the Prius brand name including lower cost ones also.

BMW of North America LLC will increase U.S. vehicle prices by 2.1% all over its line-up of BMW-branded vehicles for the 2009 model year.
BMW announced that the increase in the costs of raw material has led to the increase in the price. The 2009 vehicles will be launched for dealerships in October.
This increase in price on U.S. vehicles is company’s second rise since June. It had increased the prices on its 2008 line-up by 1%.
Automakers and suppliers are trying to cope with the price increases on raw materials such as steel. BMW also has to cope with a weak dollar. This has made it more expensive to build vehicles in Europe and sell them in the United States.
In the United States, BMW division sales slipped by 8.0% in the first seven months of the year.
BMW’s profit this year is anticipated to be down about 40 percent from 2007.

KIA’S next-generation Sorrento is in the bag! It will be on sale in the UK later next year.
After a mid-life facelift in 2006, the current Sorrento is ready to be replaced – and Kia is keen to take the fight closer to rivals such as the Land Rover Freelander.
The testing of the next-generation SUV is almost complete. Despite the plastic bag disguise, it looks very similar to the current model and will boast the same dimensions, too.
It’s expected to offer a choice of cabin arrangements, with five or seven seats. Kia will concentrate on improving quality and, as well as the 2.5-litre turbo diesel currently offered, introduce some new engines, too.
The new CLK is getting ready for the battle. The Mercedes car has slid down the picking order with the entrance of the current BMW 3-Series saloon and the Audi A5, but this new model is blasting for its premium German rivals.
The current CLK has its curves replaced by more angular, chunky creases and neater, slimmer rear lights. The front end is inspired by the new C-Class – a car that has been one of the decade’s biggest hits for Mercedes so far.

The support of the new CLK also is C-Class, promising a much sharper drive than before. The saloon’s adaptive damping will appear too, allowing drivers to choose between comfort and sport modes for the suspension. It should bring the car close to both the sporty 3-Series and more comfort-led A5.
The starting price is around £26,000. The stylish new CLK will hit the roads by summer 2009, with a monster AMG version topping the range when it appears in 2010.
Cadillac CTS Sport Wagon
Cadillac has brought out a stylish estate version of its CTS sports saloon that will be available in the UK showrooms late next year.
The CTS Sport Wagon is 7mm shorter than the CTS saloon but still extends more load space than its main rival, the Volvo V70.
The CTS Sport Wagon is anticipated to be obtainable with the saloon’s 208bhp 2.8-liter and the muscular 307bhp 3.6-liter petrol V6s, as well as the forthcoming 247bhp 2.9-liter diesel.
With a power tailgate that can be functioned with the key fob, the Sport Wagon also offers a panoramic rear sunroof. At the rear are aggressive-looking tail-lamps that hint at the tail fins of 1950’s Cadillacs.
Pricing will be proclaimed closer to the on-sale date in the autumn.

Cadillac is unveiling a crossbreed interpretation of the Escalade this month and its starting price is from $71,685, including destination. This is a sport utility vehicle. It makes use of a double mode hybrid technology. It also has a cylinder shut off feature and it gets you 20 mpg in city driving and 21 mpg on the highway.

When you drive it slowly or when the car is idling then it can run completely on the electric motor. Unless and until the driver is harsh the vehicle will stop from the electric power. Also the steering and air conditioning units are also electrically powered.
More Cadillacs that run on E85 in the next two years can be anticipated. Presently, the Escalade is the only Cadillac vehicle to dash on the ethanol fuel. Diesel power plants, now presently utilized in the CTS in Europe will be also considered for the North American Cadillacs.
Today we’ve spotted a nice big review on the web about the newest Mercedes-Benz Sl550. While reading this article you can see his opinion is quite a bit in the middle about this car, but says this car would have more style then the BMW 6 series. Well we of Wheeltronix think that ain’t right
But thats because we are big BMW fans :D.
Well off course this new 2009 Mercedes-Benz SL550 is a great car as well, it has a great interior and some cool looks. But if we needed to choose between a BMW 6-Series or a Mercedes Sl550 we should pick a BMW 6- series probably.
